The Manning community is invited to celebrate Australia Day at the Manning Entertainment Centre on Friday, January 26.

The day will begin outside at 7.30 am with a free breakfast prepared by local service clubs and entertainment featuring Manning Valley Concert Band and Sarah Murphy.
Free tattoos and flags will be available for children.
The official ceremony will begin inside the centre at 9am with a didgeridoo performance and Welcome to Country by Russell Saunders OAM.
A flag placement will follow before addresses by MidCoast Council mayor David West and Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead.
The young speakers address will be conducted by St Clare's High School leaders Ruby McIntosh, Macabe Grass, Jennifer Wesley and Rhys Hood.
The event will also include the citizenship and public affirmation ceremonies before the singing of the Australian National Anthem and address from Manning Australia Day ambassador Maurie Stack OAM.
The presentation of the Citizen of the Year, Community Event of the Year and Ken McDonald Memorial Sportstar of the Year will also take place.
The ceremony will conclude by 10am and will be followed by a morning tea in the foyer served by our local service clubs.
Other celebrations in the Manning will be held at the following locations:
- At Black Head Beach, a free breakfast will be held between 7am and 9am. The ceremony will start at 7.45am and will include the presentation of local awards.
- The Harrington Memorial Hall will host a free breakfast from 7.45am with the ceremony to commence at 8.45am.
- The free breakfast at Wingham Central Park will commence at 7.30am with the ceremony to begin at 8am.
