Bream and flathead have been bagged from the river wall on mullet and soft plastics.
School mulloway to 10kg have been caught on hard bodied lures spun from the wall above the gantry. Luderick have been caught on yabbies at night.
Flathead have been on the bite upriver to Taree on bait and lures.
The beaches have been very unproductive with only one report of a catch of just legal poppers from the sea wall.
Outside anglers have scored good snapper to 6kgs from the northern grounds and flathead have been picked up on the drift
