Kamani decided to stir in Kiesha’s womb around 3am on January 1. It was unexpected and Kiesha says she woke Andrue and her mother to ask if it could be the beginning of her labour.
“I wasn’t sure. This was my first and I wanted to check but then I began to have contractions straight away so they got me to hospital,” Kiesha said.
It was only a four hour labour! Everyone was shocked at how short it was considering it was my first baby.

“I loved to talk to Kiesha’s belly while she was pregnant and then when she came out and while she was being weighed, I started to talk to her and call her name.
It was amazing when she started to open her eyes and reach out for me and stopped crying. It was a magical moment, it absolutely was.
