The Manning Valley Race Club will be officially launched on Thursday, January 4 with the running of the 2018 Harrington Cup.

The club received 127 nominations for the seven race program, which will be headlined by the running of the Harrington Cup Benchmark 65 Handicap.
The first race will get underway from 1.50pm.

Reigning Melbourne Cup winning jockey Corey Brown will make an appearance on the day.
He will be the special guest of a function that will be held in his honour.
The race club will unveil a plaque to recognise his 2017 win.
A jumping castle and face painting will be set up for children.
Fashions on the Field will once again run to determine the best dressed male and female.
Gates open at 11am.
Free buses will be available from the following locations:
Harrington- two buses will leave from the Harrington Hotel at 11.30am. One will then do a pick up at Harrigan's Irish Pub. The other will do a pick up at the Coopernook Hotel and Croki picnic area. One bus will leave from the Harrington Waters Golf Club at 11.30am.
Forster and Tuncurry- A bus will leave from the Lakeside Tavern at noon and then do pick ups at the Little Street bus stop, the bus stop beside the Bellevue Hotel in Tuncurry and the at the end of Blackhead Road on the Lakes Way.
Manning Point and Old Bar- A bus will do pick ups from the two caravan parks at Manning Point at noon and then proceed to the bus stop near the Coles Supermarket in Old Bar at approximately 12.30pm.
All buses will return after the last race which is timed for 5.30pm.
