The NSW Government has committed $300,000 of funding to new community infrastructure projects around Myall Lakes that will enhance much needed local facilities.
Mr Bromhead said he was pleased to announce this funding for those projects that enhance the amenity of our community.
The funding will aim to create more vibrant and inclusive communities and deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes.
“This grassroots funding will directly benefit our community and will deliver vital new infrastructure and help pay for much-needed improvements to local sports facilities, parks, halls and clubs,” Mr Bromhead said.
The successful Projects in the Wingham and Upper Manning for 2017 are:
- Wingham Show Society – repair and upgrade facilities within the Rodeo Arena area of Wingham Showground
- Wherrol Flat Hall – repainting exterior walls
- Wingham Rifle Club – install solar system and air conditioning along with repairs and painting of clubhouse
- Wingham Chamber of Commerce – construction of a community notice board in Central Park
- Manning Valley Rock Hounds Club – purchase of a faceting machine
- Marlee Hall – construction of an accessible ramp to the Marlee Hall main entrance
- Wherrol Flat RFS – building extension for equipment storage
- Little Plain Public Hall – building a new amenities block to service the recreation reserve
