Around 15,000 people were tipped to attend the festival from Thursday, December 7 to Sunday, December 9. The festival hosted events at Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney Showgrounds, Qudos Bank Arena,with the closing ceremony being held in The Domain.

St Clare’s High School principal Peter Nicholls said the students joined with thousands of other young people from across the country to celebrate Catholic culture and further develop their faith and faith practices amongst likeminded people.
“The diocese made considerable resources available to the young pilgrims and, along with the school, has ensured that any young person who wanted to attend the gathering was able to participate at the festival.”
The theme of the ACYF was “Open new horizons for spreading joy: young people, faith and vocational discernment.”
