More than 200 male and female surfers from throughout the world will compete in the event.
In addition to sponsoring the entire NSW Pro Surf Series, Vissla has become the naming-rights sponsor to the Great Lakes Pro, with D’Blanc as supporting partner.
Vissla’s John Mossop believes the increased partnership will help to enhance the sustainable qualification pathway for Australian and international surfers.
“We’re extremely proud to be able to assist by getting behind competitions in regional areas with great waves like the Great Lakes,” Mossop said.
The 2016 Quiksilver Pro France Champion and former WSL World Championship Tour surfer Keanu Asing, Hawaii is excited about returning to the location which kicked off his 2017 campaign.
“The Vissla Great Lakes Pro event at Boomerang Beach was such a great event for me to start my year and such a special place to be,” Asing said.
“Boomerang Beach produced amazing waves for the whole event and to stay at Moby's Retreat was an incredible experience. I can't wait to come back to surf this event again in 2018 to try and defend my title.”
