The toss saw Wingham field first, and from the start they took the advantage with Drew Gosper taking a wicket with only the third ball of the match.
Bulahdelah fought back and piled on a few runs.
There were a couple of close but lost opportunities until Logan Holden struck by sending down a bolt to take the middle stump of the unprepared Bulahdelah batsman.
Shortly after, and with the clouds beginning to swell, Cae Allan took a scalp of his own, catching the edge of the bat and zipping into the safe hands of Jackson Barry at first slip.
Other notable achievements in the field for Wingham were Lachlan Dawson and Jackson Griffin who were like steel doors and let nothing past.
Rain ended the Bulahdelah innings, with 3/153.
Wingham started their innings strongly with three of the first five batsmen retiring unbeaten - Logan Holden (29) Callum Taylor (8) and Jackson Barry (top score with a superb 47).
The other two batters made healthy contributions of their own before handing their wicket over as the total came into sight.
Bulahdelah then smothered the runs and got a suspect LBW go in their favour.
With the weather closing in again, and the final overs coming quick, two seasoned young cricketers in Jett Gilbert and Harry Thomas weren’t going to let victory slip away.
The boys dug deep and dispatched the remaining runs without trouble; Harry Thomas bringing up the winning runs with a timed drive down the ground for four. Wingham ended the day as victors with 3/154.
Congratulation to all the boys on a great performance, with the bat and in the field. Good Luck to all grades next week.
