Hyundai continues to chase down Toyota and Mazda with new baby SUV.
The South Korean brand is building on the success of its Tucson mid-size SUV with a new pint-sized Kona crossover.
Hyundai is launching a three-pronged Kona lineup that follows the same formula as its other SUVs, starting with the base Active, then progressing through Elite trim and topping out with the Highlander variant.
All models come with the choice of either a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 110kW and 180Nm and is paired to a six-speed automatic that drives the front wheels, or a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol unit that produces 130kW and 265Nm and is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that powers all four wheels.
