“This year’s Tastings on Hastings Festival is upon us, and promises to be a fabulous weekend for soaking up the spring sunshine and enjoying the best produce, beverages and foodie delights that our region has to offer,” said mayor Peta Pinson.
Here’s what’s happening when so you can plan your visit: Thursday, October 26: Gastronomical Pub Dinner – Settlers Inn, 6.30pm; Foragers Dinner –Whalebone Wharf, 6.30pm. Friday, October 27, 10am-4pm – Hastings Tastings Platters – Little Fish Cafe; 12.30pm-7pm – Perfect Pairings Tour – Frankie’s Travel; 7pm – Local Beer & Tapas Degustation – Latin Loafer; 7pm – Seafood Feast – Bill’s Fishhouse & Bar; 6.30pm Locally Made, Internationally Inspired – The Stunned Mullet.
Saturday, October 26:8am-noon – Wauchope Farmers Market wit Matt Golinski; 9am-3pm – Paddock to Plate Tour – Frankie’s Travel; noon-8pm – Tastings on Hastings Main Event – Town Green; noon – Long, Lazy Lunch – Drury Lane Eatery.
Sunday, October 29: 9.30-4.30pm – Hastings Hidden Gems tours – Frankie’s Travel; 10am-4pm – Hastings Tastings Platters – Little Fish Cafe; 11am-12.30pm – the Sustainable Table with Matt Golinski – The Lost Plot community garden; noon – Cassegrain Wines Long Lunch; 1pm – Meals in the Fields – Near River Produce.
On stage during the Main Event every 50 minutes from noon will be: the winner of Hastings Regional Singer/Songwriter competition; Nana Klumpp & EZ3; Andrew Cousins; Sarah Marine; Chicken Joe & the Mavericks; Harry’s Lookout; Mar Haze; Bearfoot, and Soul Fire.
