Southbound motorists are using a small service road that runs parallel to the highway to pass the site.
One of two northbound lanes is also closed.
Traffic is very heavy in both directions, so motorists are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time.
Motorists should also exercise caution.
Emergency services and traffic crews are on site working to clear the crash.
Additionally, further north, the Pacific Highway remains closed northbound in Herons Creek due to a serious two-car crash.
Northbound motorists are being diverted via Herons Creek Road, Ron Banks Road and then Bago Road to return to the highway.
This diversion is suitable for all vehicles, including B-doubles.
