Innes View Road, Innes View (Out of control)
At 1pm on Sunday, September 25 NSW RFS received calls to a fire in the vicinity of Innes View Road, Innes View, approximately eight kilometres west of Comboyne.
One hundred firefighters, 30 appliances and three water bombing aircraft were tasked to bring the fire under control.
The fire remains uncontained and has burnt more than 1000 hectares. Two homes and three sheds were impacted by fire late yesterday afternoon.
Belbora Creek Road (being controlled)
At 11.30pm on Saturday, September 23 crews responded to a fire at Belbora Creek Road, Belbora, 20 kilometres south west of Wingham. The fire is burning in an easterly direction and is currently being controlled. The fire has burnt 163 ha.
Nowendoc Road (being controlled)
At 2.10pm on Sunday, September 24 crews responded to a fire at Nowendoc Road, Mount George. Crews will continue to work throughout the day to contain the fire. The fire has burnt 50 hectares. A vehicle, shed and container was impacted by fire.
Afflecks Road (being controlled)
At 5.30pm on Saturday, September 23 crews responded to a bush fire at Affleks Road, Tipperary, RFS crews are currently working to bring the fire under control. The fire has burn 210 hectares.
Monday September 25, 9.30am
The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) have continued the total fire ban for Monday (September 25) after a weekend of hot, dry wind has kept fire fighters busy.
A ban was originally declared for Sunday (September 24) due to the predicted severe winds and high temperatures for the Mid Coast region, as well as, other parts of the State. This has been continued due to forecast hot and windy conditions for Monday.
The ban covers the following councils:
- North Coast (Severe) — Bellingen, Coffs Harbour, MidCoast, Port Macquarie-Hastings, Kempsey, Nambucca
- Far North Coast (Severe) — Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley, Tweed
- Greater Hunter (Very High) — Cessnock, Dungog, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Singleton, Upper Hunter
- New England (Very High) — Armidale Regional, Glen Innes Severn, Tenterfield, Uralla, Walcha
Fires in the Mid Coast region that have flared up over the weekend are at various stage of control.
An out of control fire is burning in the Killabakh Nature Reserve, west of Comboyne and has burnt more than 950 hectares.
Crews have spent the night working to slow the spread of the fire and protect properties along Innes View Road, Colling Road and in the area of Misty View Road. Fire is also burning in the area of Mount Gibraltar Road.
Firefighters and aircraft will continue to work on the fire today in an effort to slow the spread of the fire.
A number of structures were destroyed on Sunday around the Colling Road area. NSW RFS Building Impact Assessment Teams will inspect these locations to confirm the number and type of buildings.
Colling Road is closed from Elands To Comboyne.
On Sunday (September 24) morning, two airplanes and two helicopters were deployed to drop water and conduct surveillance of the bush fire that started on a property on Belbora Creek Road, Belbora, east of Gloucester on Saturday afternoon (September 23). The fire had spread overnight and was threatening properties on Dees Road.
By Sunday evening, the fire had jumped Dees Road and spread into dense bushland, where it began to dissipate throughout the evening. There are no reports of property lost at this stage.

- Bowman, Thunderbolts Way
- Tugrabakh, Bundook Road
- Tipperary, Afflecks Road, size 209 hectares
- Mount George, Nowendoc Road, size 50 hectares
- Belbora, Belbora Creek Road, size 163 hectares
Under control:
- Coolongolook, Willina Road
- Bulahdelah, Old Inn Road, size 1042 hectares (managed by National Parks and Wildlife Service)
- Nabiac, Aerodrome Road
- Tuncurry, Lakes Way, size 2538 hectares
Out of control:
- Killabakh Nature Reserve/Innes View, size 950 hectares
- Mount George, Borserio Drive
A spokesperson for the NSW RFS has indicated that the major fires of concern heading into Monday are: Coolongolook, Tipperary and Belbora.
