Police detected a north bound Mercedes CLC200 at 124 kilometres per hour in the 100 zone on the Pacific Highway, Nabiac at about 10.20pm on Monday, September 18.

Police say on stopping the vehicle the 54-year-old male from Westmead was unable to produce a driver’s licence. Checks found he also had an outstanding prison warrant for "drive conveyance taken without consent of owner".
He was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with the warrant, exceed speed over 20kph and drive whilst disqualified.
Following this the owner of the Mercedes, whom was also herself suspended and directed not to drive, was stopped by General Duties Police at Taree and charged with driving whilst suspended.
The male accused in this matter is refused bail to face Taree Local Court on September 19.
