A small flare up on September 19 resulted in a haze of smoke covering the area.
Residents are advised that there is no immediate danger.
The bushfire caused the Lakes Way to be closed for several hours on September 13, before the blaze was brought under control.
A 1042 hectare bushfire at Old Inn Road, Bulahdelah also remains under control.
The Rural Fire Service has maintained a very high fire danger warning for the North Coast.
