The beautiful Comboyne Plateau comes alive in Spring – green pastures, flowers everywhere and the best mountain scenery in the Hastings.

For a new perspective, come to the high country, an easy half hour drive from Wauchope, to enjoy the hospitality at the Comboyne Spring Spectacular on Sunday September 24.

This is a great opportunity to visit beautiful Comboyne and have a wonderful family day out.

This year is a significant year for the community of Comboyne. Earlier in 2017 the 80th Comboyne Show was held, celebrating the pioneering spirit and agricultural history of the plateau.

The unique ‘New Billabong’ building, constructed in the Amish style without nails, is interesting in itself and will be filled with fabulous spring flowers arranged by local award-winning floral artists. This display alone justifies the word spectacular.

With all the fun of the fair – rides, animals, face-painting, Wizard Sand Art, and market stalls - the full program of activities and displays includes the Ninth Annual Car Club Capers. Exciting and different, the classic cars, motorcycles and historic machinery are seen working and participating in events, rather than just static displays.

The Rural Fire Service will also inform and entertain.

Comboyne produce is always popular, and this year a feature will be the burgeoning avocado industry, with the opportunity to talk to Avocado Australia Ltd and local growers.

Have you ever cracked a whip? See how the experts do it, then have a go yourself!

Your country lunch under shady marquees includes an eclectic variety of great food, with the addition of the Westpac Helicopter barbecue and fresh homemade lemonade, while enjoying live music with Wendy and Mike Jamison and watching the action in the main show ring.

There is interest for all ages in the arts and crafts, with wool spinning, weaving and woodworking demonstrations, and the display of local children’s colouring and poster competitions.

With free parking at the Showground, Adult entry just $5, 15 and under free, it will be a great fun family day at Comboyne on Sunday September 24.
