Being new to the role as co-ordinator for Daffodil Day at Wingham, I was anxious about the day.
I needn’t have worried, as the friendly town of Wingham stepped up to the challenge. In fact, I was thoroughly overwhelmed by the generosity of the community, so thank you all!
The day wouldn’t have been such an amazing success if it wasn’t for the fact that I had a wonderful group of volunteers helping me. They, too, deserve my utmost thanks and gratitude.
With this Wingham spirit behind us, we now look forward to next year’s Daffodil Day with great anticipation.
Now, if you want to be a part of next year’s Daffodil Day, go to the Cancer Council website www.cancercouncil.com.au and find out how to to register to be a volunteer.
