The results of the championship are still to filter through from the national capital, but it was a major achievement for the Manning Valley/Great Lakes and Taree Basketball to have five girls selected to play at this level.
Isabella Allan, Taya Hunter and Annika Scott were in the Hunter team and to Amarley Bron and Mariah Radburn played with the Catholic schools Polding squad.
New faces are appearing each week at the “Magic Monday” basketball skills sessions at Saxby’s Stadium between 4.00pm to 5.30pm for the small cost of just $2.00 They are a good place to light basketball interest and are designed as a fundamental skills tool away from the competitive nature of actual game play.
