Triples – Hunter and Pat Payton playing with Peter Kriss came up against Steve Matheson, Barry Smith and Glenn Gilford with little difference in the game and tied scores on four occasions with Hunter in the lead in three ends. It was not until the 20th end that Steve’s crew took control of the game with a 22-16 win to them.
The star-studded team of Rex Dawson, Col Watson and Jake Hinton accounted for Glen Dennes, Jim Gillogly and Allan Cox 29-17. Glen’s team did have the lead on the 7th end and then they fell in a hole to let Rex’s team take over and a good victory to them.
Brian and Peter Williams with Howard Snelson finished strongly against Dallas and Mark Hammond playing with Peter Brown (sub) to record a 35-16 win. On the 17th end there was only a three shot advantage to Brian’s men but that was the end for Dallas and his team.
It is now up to semi-final stage with Rex to play Steve Matheson and Brian against Michael Clarke.
