The 70 works are on display from 9.30am to 3.30pm daily at the Taree Craft Centre, on the corner of Pulteney and High Streets, until July 15. Entry is free.
“It’s an opportunity to get our work out there and be seen and make the public aware that we are here and what we do,” said president Beryl Moriarty.
“Hopefully we will have people come along and enjoy our work.”
Those who do visit will be invited to cast their vote in the People’s Choice Award.
This showcase replaces the usual Taree Open Art Exhibition this year because the Taree High School hall is unavailable.
It features the work of Taree Artists members, who come from as far as Port Macquarie, Forster and Wingham.
“We have everything including pottery, basket weaving, sculptures, 3D works and every medium of painting including watercolour, pastel, oils, acrylic, then mixed media and drawing,” said Beryl.
The Taree Craft Centre has proven to be an ideal location.

“It’s a beautiful place,” said Beryl, adding that the staff at the Taree Craft Centre had generously changed their roster so the exhibition could stay open over the weekend.
Among the exhibiting artists is Jill Prior, who moved to the Manning about 18 months ago and works in watercolour.
