The toilets were dismantled by MidCoast Council on Wednesday, June 28 and will be replaced with a “brand-spanking new” toilet block, similar to the one at Crowdy Head.
The new block should be complete and operational in around six weeks time.
During construction of the new toilets, MidCoast Council suggests people use the public toilets at Endeavour Place in River Street (near the rowing club), or next door to Rotary Park at the Taree Visitor Information Centre, which is open 9am – 4.30pm weekdays, and 9am – 4pm on weekends.
The dump point for caravans at Rotary Park will remain in operation, council advised.
