A delicious morning tea was enjoyed by all in attendance before an inspection of the new facilities.
Member for Myall Lakes Steve Bromhead was on hand to cut the ribbon and officially declare the new loos open for business.
Mr Bromhead assisted with securing a grant for the project, which included a complete renovation of toilet facilities and doubled the capacity in the ladies from two stalls to four.
The existing toilets were in urgent need of upgrade and the renovation gives the hall a better capacity to cope with increasing visitors to local events, as well as weekly community activities.
A local builder was engaged to carry out the work with the Killabakh community contributing not only the extra funds required to complete the project but close to 100 voluntary hours in project planning, demolition, site preparation, painting and clean-up.
