Tinonee Memorial School of Arts Hall committee members Jan, Jenny and Pam, assisted by four members of the Tinonee Rural Fire Service, gave the much loved, 104-year-old community hall, a good clean on Saturday, January 28.
They cleaned windows and floors and, with the help of Paul Dyson’s scaffolding, Paul and Laurie and later the younger lads Cameron and Chris of the Fire Service, cleaned the fans, light fittings and the high windows inside the hall.
Jenny and Jan then gave the floor a good sweep, vacuum and two coats of polish once the tables and chairs had been moved. Many thanks to the willing helpers as the work could not have been achieved without them.
Contact Jenny Cherry on 6553 1245 for prices on what is included in hire charges, and to make a booking.
The hall committee, under president Janette Hayden, has its first meeting for 2017, on Monday, February 13, at 7.30pm.
They would love to see some new members to assist with the operations. Membership is just $2 per person for the financial year which ends on June 30.
