A man has been flown to John Hunter Hospital after an early morning search party found him at the bottom of an embankment with multiple fractures.

Emergency services were called to the property on Candoormarkh Creek Road, Nabiac, to look for the 23-year-old man in the early hours of Tuesday morning (January 24) after he failed to return to the house last night. An ambulance was called shortly after 6am when he was located at the bottom of an six metre embankment at the back of his family’s property, suffering from suspected fractures to his pelvis and arm. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter transported him to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
FATAL ACCIDENT: A 55-year-old man from Rainbow Flat will face Taree Local Court after a fatal accident near Hallidays Point last Tuesday (January 17).
Around 5.45pm a 60-year-old motorcylist from Failford was riding a BMW motorcyle on Black Head Road when he collided with a four wheel drive near the Lakes Way intersection. He appears to have died instantly.
The driver of the car was treated for shock and conveyed to Taree Police Station where he was charged with dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death and driving with low range concentration of alcohol.
