Charles Sturt University has made 887 offers for undergraduate programs to date at its Port Macquarie campus.
That is up 132 per cent on 2016.
The University of Newcastle has made 160 offers so far at its Port Macquarie campus, an 18 per cent increase on total offers for the same period last year.
For the CSU Port Macquarie campus, almost 150 offers have gone out for the Bachelor of Clinical Practice (Paramedic) degree and 81 offers have been made for the Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science.
Two new courses in 2017, Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and Bachelor of Physiotherapy, have had strong demand with 50 offers and 101 offers respectively.
CSU has made 70 offers at Port Macquarie for Bachelor of Education (K-12) and 42 offers for the Bachelor of Accounting.
CSU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Toni Downes congratulated students who had received an offer to study at Charles Sturt University in 2017.
"Our newest campus in Port Macquarie is a particular stand-out as offers for undergraduate degrees have increased by 132 per cent to almost 890,” she said.
"This confirms our commitment and the community support for Port Macquarie. We are well on the way to achieving our vision for the NSW Mid-North Coast region."
The University of Newcastle has made 160 offers at its Port Macquarie campus.
Bachelor of Nursing was the most popular program, which represented 70 per cent of the offers.
The Bachelor of Teaching (Primary)/Bachelor of Arts program represented 20 per cent of offers with the remainder of offers in Bachelor of Midwifery.
The University of Newcastle’s UniAccess associate director, Jodie Davis, said it was no surprise that the Bachelor of Nursing program continued to be very popular as it was popular on all of UON’s campuses.
Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor John Germov congratulated all students who had received an offer to study at UON.
“The University of Newcastle is committed to providing more opportunities for people to succeed at university and we welcome everyone who has or will receive an offer to study with us,” he said.
There are several more university offer rounds.
UAC is one of the channels which universities rely on to make offers to prospective students.
UAC general manager of marketing and engagement, Kim Paino said the main round was still UAC’s largest offer round and the end of an anxious wait for many students.
The next next offer round is on February 1.
