Representative junior sides will come from Wallsend, Newcastle, Nelson Bay, Macksville, Port Macquarie, Camden Haven, Forster-Tuncurry and Taree associations.
Matches will start at 8.30 with the last game scheduled for 3.30.
Taree Touch president Graham Goodwin said the teams will use the gala as preparation for the Hunter Hornets regional championships at Nelson Bay followed by the State Junior Cup to be played at Port Macquarie next month.
“Each team will play a minimum of four games,’’ he said.
“We don’t keep score and there’s no overall winners.’’
However, Northern Eagles will use the matches to identify talent for the State regional championships to be played in April.
Taree will send the maximum 10 sides to the State Junior Cup.
Mr Goodwin expects the 16 boys to be Taree’s best performed side at State-level.
