The Kitchen Stage at Tastefest on the Manning is the place to be to learn something exciting about food.
Tastefest offers the opportunity to see what produce our region has on offer.
At 10am, Megan Cook from Garden to Table will educate event goers with her ideas on permaculture and growing vegetables at home.
From 11am Megan’s demonstration will continue with how to then deliver those fresh vegetables to your dinner table.
Watch the corn and zucchini fritter demonstrations.
1pm brings Mark Page from Manning Valley Industries as he shares “Bee Keeping and Honey”.
1.30pm, Donna Carrier from ‘Bent on food’ and Steve Atkins from Great Lakes Winery will enlighten us with “Wine Appreciation”.
At 2pm Helen Mitchell from Manning Florist will demonstrate “Flower Arrangements”.
Enjoy the atmosphere by the Manning river with the great variety of live entertainment playing throughout the day including Jake Davey, James Bennett, Keegan Gibson, Brunette Mischief, Mitchell Brown and Josh Needs.
Kids entertainment includes the petting zoo and reptile exhibit or they can get their faces painted and indulge in temporary tattoos.
Pick up mushrooms, tomatoes, macadamias, eggs, sweet berries and other produce straight from the farm and turn them into something amazing for dinner.
With melt in your mouth organic beef from the hills of Wingham, fresh seafood and oysters direct from local streams and oceans there will be something to suit even the pickiest of palates.
