The subsidised cost will vary depending on the breed, gender and size of the animal involved.
Members of the community who are on a pension or Centrelink benefits are invited to contact the branch by telephoning 6552 5177 to register their pets. Please record your details on the answering machine; a return telephone number is essential. The answering machine will be checked twice daily and calls will be returned as soon as possible.
The month of March will also see the branch involved in a free microchipping project for dogs and cats in conjunction with the Animal Welfare League.
The aim is to microchip as many animals in our joint areas of Taree and Forster-Tuncurry.
This event will be held at Saxby Park in Taree on Saturday, March 25 commencing at 10am. The RSPCA Pets in Need van will also be in attendance.
Members of the community will also have the opportunity to have a look at Saxby Park and the additional fencing which has recently been completed.
The installation of all the fencing has been fully funded by the branch from the income received on its local fund raising stalls, the Million Paws Walk and Cup Cake Day.
The area is now fully fenced and is an excellent venue for people to exercise their dogs in safety.
