The market’s purpose is to display and sell the products and produce of local stallholders and raise funds for the local Wingham Community through stallholder fees and raffles.
$1500 was raised last year and given to Wingham Street Reach, and now this Saturday another $1000 has been donated to Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services.
The manager of the centre, Caron Watkins, was presented with the cheque in front of stallholders and community members by local identity and real estate agent Tim Bale who also drew the Christmas in July raffle which was won by stall holder Del Carey.
TIm Bale of LJ Hooker Real Estate, Barbara Montague at the Commonwealth Bank, Michael Devine of Chapman and Wood Pharmacy and Michael McKeough’s Betta Home Living Store all located in Wingham have been generous sponsors, together with all the stallholders at the market who donated gifts and fresh produce for raffles.
The market’s co-ordinator Bill Gleed would like to thank Wingham’s wonderful community, stallholders and fabulous sponsors for their fantastic generosity which has allowed for another donation mid-year.
Wingham’s community and guests from far and wide visit every month to support their local market, and if any businesses or private sponsors are interested in helping with donations for raffles they can contact Bill on 6550 7533.
