“IT was a never-ending maddening search for answers. It ruled our life and we were all exhausted, especially Tyler,” said his mum Debbie Saunders.

“We tried so many things to gain some control over his eczema.”
Tyler was born with signs of eczema and also has food allergies and intolerances.
By the time he was eight months old he was “more often than not covered in rashes”.
“Sometimes he looked like he had been burned.”
Debbie recalls that she and her husband Andy would go to him and find him in his cot with blood covered sheets and blankets.
“He itched holes through purpose bought cotton eczema gloves so we began using socks taped to his hands.”
It became their mission to find answers.
“We changed absolutely everything from his diet to the toothpaste and wash powder we used, we got rid of chemical cleaning products and scented personal care products to reduce the toxic load in our home.
“We do specialised allergy spring cleaning of our home once per week to reduce dust and allergens.
“We purchased special vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, air purifiers, put hard flooring throughout our house and mite guards on all bedding to control dust mites because they exacerbate eczema.
“We tried naturopaths, iridologists and bioresonance therapy which required us to travel to Coffs Harbour once a week.
“We had many trips to doctors and allergists.
“On top of that we could have opened a pharmacy with the amount of creams we tried that didn't work. It was a never ending maddening search for answers.
“Just when we thought we may have found an answer and we had beaten it he would flare again.
“The cost was enormous too.
“Tyler continued to get worse as he got older. He developed many allergies and intolerances to environmental triggers like grass and pollen and we couldn't control that.
“His immune system was so over-reactive that at times we couldn't take him outside.”
Debbie said they found The Aron Regimen not a moment too soon.
“His over-reactive system seems to have calmed a lot since beginning treatment.”
Tyler has experienced two flare-ups since starting the treatment late last year but Debbie said they have been able to gain control quickly.
“He used to have a couple of flares a day before treatment, which would spiral out of control. We would spend weeks trying to get on top of it.”
Debbie said eczema is an underestimated condition that is debilitating.
“I guess the footage and photographs we collected exposed some of the horror that is living with eczema.
“I picked the camera up the first time when Tyler was about eight months old as I thought I could show the doctors what I couldn't explain.
“I could hardly believe what I was seeing myself. The itching and screaming, flaring and subsiding was unbelievable.
“Since Tyler's video went viral I have had eczema sufferers or mums who care for kids with eczema from all over the world message me to express how they felt like what they were seeing in our clip was so similar to their own story and to express how hard it is to explain to others what the life of an eczema sufferer is really like.
“People are also contacting me to get more details of The Aron Regimen.”
Debbie said eczema awareness is badly needed.
“If you know someone who is having a tough time with or caring for a child with severe chronic eczema extend a helping hand if you can.
“I can tell you that they need it. It's a soul destroying exhausting thing to go through. You can also direct them to Dr Aron if they need a treatment that works.
“Eczema is a debilitating condition that has sufferers going crazy with physical pain and the emotional turmoil of trying to work out what is causing it and how to fix it.
“All too often we were told Tyler would grow out of it and often people do but he was getting worse and worse after developing more new sensitivities as he grew.
“It was getting so hard to manage and we were left wondering how we could cope until he grew out of it if he ever did.
“It would be great to see Dr Aron's treatment more readily available to those who need it.”
