Alana then steadied to win the next three ends 16/18.

In the four's event M Hinton (skip), J Duncan, J Stewart and N Platt defeated N Sandford (skip), S Wolters, J Pedron and N Platt 13-9.

Last Saturday the finalists for club major singles decided by mutual agreement to play their match, due to district and other commitments.
What a match it turned out to be!
The many spectators were enthralled to the end.
Weather was cool, some showers which did not dampen their enthusiasm to play for the major title.
It was a close match and by the 11th end, Denise led by two over Pat.
Denise steadied to put a three on the card to make it 12/7, then amassed eight shots in the next four ends to make it 20/9.
Pat re-grouped to put a three and four pointer on the card in the 20th and 21st end, making it 17/22.
Denise is a very "match fit" bowler, who took this match to a 25/17 win.
Congratulations to both bowlers who displayed good sportsmanship throughout this deciding match.
Next week April 28 will be "social bowls" ladies.
Please remember to enter your name on the sheet provided in bowl's office or ring WBC before 8.15am. Thanks ladies.
Special mention
CONGRATULATIONS to Narelle Foy and Greg Bartlett who were the runner-up pairs in the LNCD mixed pair's event in which they were presented with a silver medal for their efforts.
This competition is a new format in which you play 2x5 ends, then 1x1 which is likened to a tie break end. This was played at Forster Bowling Club with stiff competition.
See you on green.
