Flathead have been caught in all parts of the river on soft plastics and bait. Blue swimmer crabs have been trapped in the lower reaches of the Manning at Harrington and also at Old Bar.
Mulloway to 5kgs have been landed from the river wall on the high tide in the evening and whiting are still biting from the spit on worms and yabbies.
Some good bream are being picked up on mullet strips from the river wall. Crowdy beach is fishing well for bream on the southern end while salmon can be caught further up the beach.
Tailor have been quiet for the past week and we will have to wait for more schools to move north.
Outside anglers have been getting good snapper from the northern grounds and flathead from the close in drift.
Mahi Mahi to 7kgs have been caught in 80 metres of water off Crowdy Head.
