Only four performances remain and, as of yesterday afternoon, there are still seats available for tonight's performance (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) night.
Both matinees however, on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, are sold out.
It has been a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious run for the theatre organisation with more than 5000 tickets sold across the season and that number set to rise over the final weekend.
The show has captured the imagination and attention of audiences and has received rave reviews from many people on both social media and in the Manning River Times letters pages.
A wonderful family orientated show, many families have taken young children - for some to their very first musical theatre experience.
After each performance, cast members have taken the time to meet with the audience, sign autographs and have photos.
Taree Arts Council was one of only few theatre organisations across the country to be approved to stage Mary Poppins and this production has been more than a year in the making.
The full cast (31 people) spent six months rehearsing along with director Gayle Cameron, musical director Don Secomb and choreographer Amanda Hammond (assisted by Mikayla Atkins and Cassie Fenton).
Overall the production involved about 70 people, the majority volunteers, including set builders, seamstresses, the props department and backstage and technical crew.
Taking on the role of Mary Poppins is Elizabeth Hall, in her first lead role.
Jeremy Miller is Bert, Travis McLaren is Mr Banks and Jodi Cooper is Mrs Banks.
Sharing the roles of the Banks children are Wil Hellstedt and Cassidy Donovan as Michael with Charlotte Reece and Georgina Saad as Jane. They are joined on stage by a collection of hardworking, talented people who play a variety of characters to bring this magical story to life.
Mary Poppins closes this Sunday after a 14 show season.
Tickets for Friday and Saturday night are available at www.theMEC.com.au.
