The burn will start at 10am tomorrow for a 36 hour period.
Should the weather conditions be unsuitable, the burn will be undertaken as soon as possible after this date.
Fire and Rescue NSW predict there will be varying degrees of smoke, hot embers and heat generated from the fire, therefore they suggest the community consider:
o closing all windows and doors to keep out smoke
o removing clothing from your clothes line
o protecting or removing items which may be affected by hot embers, smoke or radiant heat (e.g. outdoor furniture, pool covers, plastic items, plants, watering systems, pets, etc)
o If you are affected by smoke, please consider your comfort
Bushfire fuel reduction is necessary to protect life and property in your community and also native flora, fauna and the environment from the extreme effects of summer bushfires, which impact severely on our native bushland each year,
Should you require any further information, or experience any problems arising from the burn contact the fire station at Taree on 6551 5246.
