PRIMARY school students from around the region got the opportunity to experience high school and tertiary education when they visited Chatham High School for it's annual WOW Day on Wednesday, September 2.

Students from Harrington, Coopernook and Chatham primary school experienced lessons in woodwork, drama, agriculture, science, coding, art, cooking, geography, photo shop and maths.-
The range of classes meant students got an opportunity to create slime, cook coconut chocolate treats, undertake a maths-themed amazing race and much more. -
Students from Cundletown, Lansdowne, Manning Gardens and Upper Lansdowne primary schools will visit the school for their WOW Day next week.-
Chatham High staff were assisted by year nine peer leaders in running the classes.-
The University of Newcastle's Aim High unit also attended the day, with university students running a coding class which involved teaching the primary students with interactive tablets.-
Chatham High School first started hosting the WOW days in 2011, with this year the fifth time they've held the event.
