On Thursday, May 14, members of Tinonee Brigade were recognised for their years of commitment to the Rural Fire Service at a ceremony held at Club Taree.
Many attended to celebrate these achievements including Mayor Hogan and councillor West.
Alan Steber was recognised for 12 years of service; Laurie Murphy was recognised for 13 years of service; Andrew Wheeler was recognised for 14 years of service; Dave Matthews was acknowledged for 26 years of service and recently retired group officer Bill Snowden, who has held a range of roles within the RFS, was recognised for an incredible 44 years of service.
These firefighters have given countless hours of their lives away from their families, to the protection of our community and their service deserves our thanks.
