Only having one reserve for the day, and with the possibility of playing at least three games, it was always going to be tough for the boys.
But after easily accounting for Wauchope 4 tries to nil, they came up against last year's premiers Port Macquarie Sharks and in a torrid affair won in a tight one.
The final was against Old Bar and with only 20 minutes rest the boys were really struggling, but team spirit shone through and they won 4 tries to 1.
"The team effort really showed through in that final and the boys never gave up," said team coach Shannon Ellem.
Although it was difficult to single out any player Shannon did say that Beau Brown, Sam McIntosh and Bryden Hurley played well above themselves.
