ANOTHER poor batting performance from Wingham first grade has jeopardised their hold on a semi final position after going down to Taree West at Johnny Martin Oval on Saturday.

Chasing 141 Wingham could only manage 86 in reply.
With one round remaining Wingham's eight point lead over Taree West has been cut to just one.
Wingham won the toss and Taree West were asked to bat first, losing 2/3, as Steve Allwood dismissed Ben Marron for one and Ryan Williams bowled Brian Levi for a duck.
Sean Carr and Paul Cox rescued West by adding 56 before both were dismissed.
Carr hit two sixes in scoring 41 in typical style whilst Cox made 10 with Williams and Allwood being the successful trundlers.
Williams claimed his third wicket by bowling Kidwell for two and West were 5/75 at drinks.
Adam McLeod (26) and John Flemming (15) both fell to Mitch Nivens bowling before Matt Essery picked up the wickets of Blake Polson (2) and Matt Dixon (4).
Andrew Croker (13x) and Jayden Burgess (14) added 22 for the last wicket to carry the total to 141.
Williams was the best of the Wingham bowlers with 3/11 whilst Allwood claimed 2/30, Niven 2/45, Essery 2/16 and Wayne Smoothy 1/2.
Wingham were also in early trouble at 2/19 with Tim Bridge (5) and Smoothy (8) back in the sheds.
Adam Carney and Ryan Morris added 33 before Carney became Neihana Kidwells first wicket, out for 16.
Kidwell then claimed three more wickets in quick succession as Wingham slumped to 6 for 65 after 24 overs.
Burgess claimed the scalps of Niven (2), Allwood (0) and Stinson (14) to wrap up the Wingham innings well shy of victory.
He finished with 3/16, Kidwell 4/11, Levi 1/5, Carr 1/17 and Cox 1/18.
Taree West plays Old Bar in the final round whilst Wingham tackles United.
Ryan Morris top scored for Wingham with 20.
