These sign were found when the present lessees of the shop "Pottys Bakery" were doing renovations.
The signs from the take-away shop reflect a change in foods and prices. For example, you could purchase a hamburger for 90 cents, chicken pieces 80 cents each, and bacon and egg roll for 90 cents.
The authorship of the signs is not known, as the outlet had several owners during its lifetime.
Cundletown Museum will be displaying the signs for all to see, as they are an important part of the commercial history of the town.
The Cundletown Museum is organising a Valentine's Day cruise on the waterways of Port Macquarie, followed by luncheon at a local vineyard scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2015.
The coach will leave Cundletown Museum at 8.30am, and if necessary, pick up on the way to Port Macquarie. For more details and prices contact Margaret on 6553 9574.
The museum also has a wonderful collection of craft from which to choose that unique Christmas gift.
The museum will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am until 3pm over the Christmas break, only closing on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so bring along your visitors for a trip down memory lane.
