A SEARCH for a Doncaster woman missing in the Grampians north of Cavendish started at 8am on Friday.
Hamilton police Sergeant Paul Stanhope said the woman had been in mobile telephone contact with police after the alert was raised about 8.30pm on Thursday night.
He said it was fortunate the weather had been mild overnight and police officers and State Emergency Service volunteers hoped to quickly locate the woman.
"She's certainly been in contact with us, we've had communications via mobile phones," he said.
"The search will commence at 8am and we're hoping we can locate her quickly. There's no great concerns at this stage," he said.
