Jodie Lee (pictured) is most well-known locally for her appearances in theatre productions from the age of five, including Taree Arts Council's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Grease, Anything Goes and a featured role in Cats.
Jodie has a background in acting, dancing, singing, gymnastics, knife fighting and martial arts, but is now primarily known as a screen actor in Queensland.
In 2011 she left the Manning for the Gold Coast and began intensive film and television acting courses and also received private coaching from Aash Aaron. She soon became his teaching assistant and progressed through to co-producer at Aash Aaron Films.
From 2011 Jodie has appeared in several independent feature films, television commercials (currently on air in Queensland for LHD Lawyers - who are also based in Taree), cinema commercials, short films, television pilots and teaser trailers.
You can also see Jodie on stage at various RSL and Sports Clubs around Queensland and New South Wales where she back-up dances in the Lady Gaga/P!nk tribute show.
Last year, under the direction of James Richards from Lasombra Films, Jodie acted in a short prose piece titled Passion, which was submitted and successful at the 2013 Action on Film Festival in Monrovia, California.
Jodie was nominated for best actress and the film won Critics Choice from the festival.
It went on to be entered into the Academy Award running and got to top 12 out of 500.
Jodie has recently returned from the 2014 Action on Film Festival where she has made solid connections for future projects.
Her focus this week is set on filming a feature film called Frenzy. Her lead role has her acting alongside a cast of well-known Australian actors, set to be released early 2015.
Once completed, she will be turning her attention to her plans to move to Hollywood late next year.
