This is the fourth year Taree has qualified for the final eight in the boys and the second successive year in the girls.
The finish by the boys equals the school's best in this time. Taree was fourth in the girls last year.
Taree boys moved into the championship round on the opening day at Lithgrow when beating Grafton, however, the girls were relegated to the playoffs after losing to Armidale.
"The standard was really strong in both divisions this year,'' Jamie Harris, coach of the Taree girls side said.
