DANIELLE McLane from Cundletown is 'doing great' after surgery in the Royal North Shore Hospital last week, according to her husband, Tim.
The 31-year-old mother of two collapsed after suffering a brain bleed at her home three weeks ago. Her daughter, Charli, aged 7, phoned Tim, who was at work to alert him of Danielle's condition. Charli was featured on the front page of the Times last Friday. The phone call has been credited with saving her mum's life.
Charli and her younger sister, Ella, three, are currently staying with their grandparents in Wingham. Tim is in Sydney with Danielle.
"Danielle's on the way to recovery,'' Tim said this week.
She hasn't seen her children since undergoing surgery. Charli and Ella visited their mum the day before she was operated on.
Tim has no idea how long Danielle will be in hospital.
"They can't give us a date yet,'' he said.
