Strike: Teaching staff at St Joseph's Wingham will be striking today. There will be minimal supervision for students during the three hour action from 9am -12pm.
Award: Bobin wildlife artist Peter Shouten has been awarded the Visual Arts award in the 2015 Manning Visual and Performing Arts Awards.
An exhibition of Peter's paintings will be opened in the gallery on Saturday July 5 at 6.30pm.
Therapy: The Delta Therapy Dogs of Wingham - Dylan and Lucy have been making a big difference to the lives of residents of the Frank Whiddon Masonic Homes for the last few months. Each Wednesday the dogs alternate and one will visit each week.
Men's Sheds: Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie this week attended the Australian Men’s Shed Association and the Parliamentary Friends of Men’s Sheds barbeque in Parliament House Canberra.
Dr Gillespie congratulated the national association and the various local men’s sheds in his electorate on the important role they play in the community.
Lunch: Next term Elands Public School will be holding a Package Free Lunchbox Challenge each Wednesday. The school decided to try to lessen the environmental impact by having a package free day - this will start on the second Wednesday (July 23) of the new term.
Today: The last day of term two, children will be breaking up today for two weeks school holiday.
It is Red Nose Day today - thumbs up to anyone taking part and raising money for SIDS and kids.
