MANNING BMX rider Sonny Easter leads State series

MANNING BMX rider, Sonny Easter, is currently ranked number four in Australia at BMX and remains undefeated in NSW in 2014 in the nine boys category.

He convincingly won the Liverpool Open final. This followed a big crash in round one the qualifying mottos after Nathan Grantelli, Canberra's No 1 rider, ran into his back wheel on the final berm driving both riders into the hard bitumen.

Sonny took the skin off his fingers but managed to recover enough push on and still gain victory. He is leading the NSW series after winning the first three rounds of the series at Southlake, Penrith and Terrigal with maximum points by winning every single race at each of the rounds.

The series is a six round event with riders using their best four starts. Sonny has a chance to take out his first State series title with a maximum of 800 points if he can go undefeated during round four at Sawtell on Saturday July 5.
