The heptathlete won the event last year, competing for Australia in Tahiti.
She also won a silver medal in the women's 4 x 400m relay. This June, Elana, 21, aims to reclaim her heptathlon title and will also contest in the individuals woman's 100m hurdles.
This international competition is an imperative part of Elana's athletics journey as she strives to represent Australia at the Commonwealth Games and or/Olympic Games.
But international competition comes at a cost. Track and Field in Australia does not provide any kind of funding or assistance for athletes travelling overseas.
Elana is a fulltime university student, studying a Bachelor of Sports Business. She is also training up to seven times a week to meet the unique demands of the seven-event heptathlon, which requires great discipline.
As a result Elana is unable to get herself to the Cook Islands alone.
Elana is seeking sponsorship towards this event in any way possible. For more information visit www.starstadium.com/profiles/elanawithnall
