Henry, a gain this year from Old Bar, has now served a suspension after he was sent off in last season's grand final.

While equally at home at half or hooker, Henry will wear the number seven jumper in his first game for Taree since 2012.

He'll give Taree some much needed direction. This was missing in the opening round when the Bulls went down to Forster-Tuncurry 30-6.

Utility player Tim Alliston will also make a return to the Bulls this weekend. He was unavailable last Sunday.

He can play in the centres or in the back row, but coach Phil Adamson is keen for Alliston to start in the back row. However, this will depend on whether centre Ethan Currey is fit. He's struggling with a hamstring strain.

On the debit side the Bulls will be without five-eighth Justin Berry for up to a fortnight with a groin injury he aggravated during the clash against the Hawks. Jaydon Lewis will switch from halfback to five-eighth this week.

Adamson said the Bulls will have to improve their ball control to trouble the Breakers.

"Everything we trained for went out the window last week,'' he said.

"We didn't complete one set of six in the first half. The effort was there, but the execution was terrible.''

Adamson said the defence for the most part was reasonable.

"When they pushed it wide we kept them out - then we'd concede a soft try,'' he said.

Adamson is confident Henry will give the Bulls direction while Alliston should provide them with more strike power.

Port City opened the season with a 10-10 draw against Wauchope.

The Bulls have endured a lean run against the Breakers. Adamson was still playing the last time Taree finished on the right side of the ledger when Taree won the 2007 grand final.

Port Macquarie will host Macleay Valley in the other game to be played on Sunday.

League tag at all venues will start at 11.15pm with under 18s at 12.05pm, reserve grade 1.15pm and first grade 2.45pm.
