Harrington resident Genevieve Godwin took the above photo of the bogged truck at about 11.45am.
The dredging of the lagoon, in front of the Marine Rescue building, began on Tuesday with the aim of reinstating the swimming area and improving the foreshore.
The work is expected to be completed by mid-April..
The project is being undertaken by Greater Taree City Council in partnership with the Farquhar Inlet Management Group. Funding is being provided through the NSW Crown Lands Funding Program and the NSW Community Building Partnership Program.
