When things wound down in the 1990s, members went their separate ways and became involved in other charitable organisations.
Never quite forgetting their time in Apex are a few local members who are working together to find their old colleagues for a reunion.
Alan Carlyle was one of the original members of Wingham Apex and he has fond memories of that time.
Graham Urquhart was a more recent member and explains the restrictions placed upon members "You could only stay in Apex until you turned 40," he said. "It was hard to leave."
Graham and Alan together with fellow former Apex member Peter Fotheringham are on a mission to spread the word and find as many old Apex members as possible for the reunion to be held at the Wingham Golf Club.
"We would like any old members that are still resident in the local area to get the word out," Graham said.
The reunion dinner will be held on May 17 at Wingham Golf Club for all ex-Apex members and their partners or widows.
Contact Graham Urquhart on 0428 535 243 or email tafegraham@hotmail.com, or phone Peter Fotheringham on 0409 034 557.
RSVP by May 10 for catering purposes please.
