This award recognises both the achievements and contributions made by under 14 members to surf life saving at all levels within the community.
The presentation was made by Brian Wilcox, president of Surf Life Saving Lower North Coast, Lorraine Morgan SLSLNC director of youth and member services, Brett Willing Forster manager of Newcastle Permanent Building Society and Stephen Bromhead Member for Myall Lakes at the branch championships held at Pacific Palms.
The following nominations were received: Brock Rayan (Pacific Palms), Rihanna Allen (Pacific Palms), Sophie Wunder (Black Head), Sarah Ward (Forster), Toby Jones (Forster), Claire Horn (Cape Hawke), Chelsea Green (Crowdy Head), Odin Augey (Crowdy Head), Andrew Hills (Taree Old Bar).
Sarah and Toby will now represent SLSLNC at the State Junior Lifesaver of the Year development camp at the Collaroy Centre on Sydney Northern Beaches from April 23-26. Following this camp two State winners will be announced and a presentation made at the SLSNSW Awards of Excellence in Sydney.
