The much loved family farm at Nabiac received a silver award in the hosted accommodation category, with owners Anna and Andrew Campbell proudly accepting the award in front of more than 600 guests at a glittering celebration at Luna Park.
Anna was particularly proud of what their award meant for agri-tourism in Australia, with their silver at the national awards being the highest accolade for a farmstay.
"Generally the hosted accommodation is given to couple's retreats and really up market accommodation so we're really proud to be the first farmstay to receive a silver at nationals and a gold at the State awards," she said.
The Campbells admitted to having no expectations going down to the awards, simply being chuffed to be a part of it.
"No not at all, we were just so happy to be there so we're so excited to come home with something."
The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards provide the benchmark for best practice within the tourism industry and acknowledge the hard work of individuals and organisations who strive for excellence.
Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead was delighted to hear news of Honeycomb Valley's award.
"Honeycomb Valley Farm is doing great things not just for their business and the people who go there, but also for encouraging tourism to the Manning Valley," Mr Bromhead said.
"I pass on my congratulations to Anna and Andrew, the owners of the business which has now won several tourism awards due to their hard work and dedication in the pursuit of giving their visitors the best experience possible.
"Their success in various tourism awards reflects well on other Manning Valley and Great Lakes tourism enterprises by bringing more people to our area who look around and spend money. "Honeycomb Valley Farm won this award but they are not the only winners here," Mr Bromhead said.
